Filmmaker, editor, and sound recordist working in Berlin; concentrating on memory, time, and our connection to the natural world.
About Me
Berlin based director, editor, and sound recordist; looking for work in any of said fields, as well as in assistant directing.
Born and raised in Washington, D.C., at eighteen I moved to the UK to study Theoretical Physics at the University of St Andrews, before shifting into Film Theory. While there, I wrote a dissertation titled ‘Captured Durations and Aesthetic Intuition: A Metaphysical and Phenomenological Analysis of Andrei Tarkovsky’s Mirror (1975).’ Copies are available on request.
After completing my undergraduate degree with First Class Honours, I moved to London to work in post-production, working at Halo Post—first as a runner, then in the media library, and finally in edit assist, all for a total of two years. In late 2023, I moved to Berlin to study directing at MetFilm School, where I created two short films for assignment, an episode of a webseries, an advertisement, and finally my graduation project, Fractures, a twenty minute long short film. It can be viewed under, ‘My Work'.
I am creative, ambitious, thoughtful, collaborative, and a big picture thinker—but still very detail oriented. I work to create theoretically-informed films that explore our relationship to time, memory, and the natural world.
